Literature Text

A life is long enough to fool your sense
Of time.  For who gets gray without surprise?
And long enough to make the breaks and dents
And all the lines around your face and eyes.

A life is wide enough to hold the truth
Amid the things you cannot reconcile:
The good that comes inside the bad, the proof
Withheld that what you did was still worthwhile.

A life is deep enough to capture love
And store it in those wrinkles in the brain.
And when you’re lonely, find a little nub,
For just a speck will keep you whole and sane.

For life is long enough to fool your sense
Of time, but still you have the present tense.
Sonnet (Shakespearean)

Nicely done, love the second stanza. :)
